Dear Friends,
We are truly pleased with the successful outcome of the 30th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Meeting which took place on 2 – 8 August 2009 here at PEACH. The 30th AIPA meeting saw the attendance of parliamentarian representatives from the ASEAN members including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and Vietnam. The meeting also included other observing countries such as Australia, Canada, China, Japan and the European Union (EU).
Additionally, we were also delighted to welcome back Bangkok Life Assurance for their annual event here at PEACH. The Hero Night theme was selected for their gala dinner which saw several fascinating performances from local celebrities who were invited to perform.
And finally, the 3rd Edition of Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2009 made its way to PEACH which saw an encouraging support from other hospitality industries participating in the event. The Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH were amongst the co-sponsors of this 3 day event.

30th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Meeting

2 – 8 August 2009, PEACH was the venue of the 30th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Meeting. The event saw some 170 delegates from AIPA 9 member countries including 11 observing nations attending the event.
Members of the AIPA include Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. This 30th AIPA Meeting saw the acceptance of Brunei Darussalam as a member of AIPA.
The 30th AIPA General Assembly was graciously opened by Thailand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, whilst also attending the meeting was H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary General of ASEAN.

Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2009

27 - 29 August 2009, the 3rd Edition of the Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2009 was held here at Hall D, PEACH. The event was opened by Pattaya City Mayor Khun Itthipol Khunpluem.
The purpose of the Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2009 is to enhance the food and beverage industry and advance the services of hoteliers in Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard professionally.
Competitions were held for food, beverage, and other services by the chefs and staff of many hotels around Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard region. Additionally, there were various exhibition booths introducing varieties of food and beverages, equipments used in the hotels and restaurants by distributors of more than 60 leading companies at the event.
The Royal Cliff Beach Resort managed to grab first place in the Modern Canapés Competition and third place in the Fruit & Vegetable Carving Competition and Fusion Food Competition (East Meet West) by Anchor’s Culinary Cream amongst the other hospitality competitions that were held here.
The Pattaya Food and Hoteliers Expo 2009 not only attracted members of the hospitality industry in the Eastern Seaboard but also the general public from Pattaya, Rayong and the surrounding area as there were some 2,000 plus registered visitors recorded during the duration of the event.

Bangkok Life Assurance – Hero Night

28 - 30 August 2009, Bangkok Life Assurance made their return to PEACH for A Hero Night Gala Dinner. Some 1,500 Bangkok Life Assurance management and staff from all corners of Thailand had gathered for this annual event.
Colourful and attractive decorations were put into display for the gala night as the theme was – Hero Night at PEACH. Guests were later entertained by Thai performers Stone Metal Fire Band and Khun Takkatan Chollada.
