We have come to the middle of 2009 and it has been a challenging year so far for us here at PEACH. Despite the 14th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits incident which took place here, we have been very pleased with the support which we have received from Thailand MICE organizations – Thailand Convention Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Thailand Incentive Convention Association (TICA) and also Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) in organizing familiarization trips and meetings at PEACH. This support strongly shows the confidence level from these organizations in PEACH for capabilities in hosting high profile domestic and international events.

Also, we have now completed the renovation on the East Entrance which will now further improve efficiency and better aid the traffic flow of delegates when using the East entrance for their future events.

And as a part of PEACH’s continuous development effort, we are currently working on a “face lift” for the PEACH website www.peachthailand.com and also the PEACH brochure. A newer and fresher look with all the up-to-date information of PEACH is scheduled to be completed this year. We will be sure to keep our newsletter subscribers well informed of this development in the next PEACH newsletter.

BIRLA SUN LIFE INSURANCE GROUP

3rd May 2009, Birla Sun Life Insurance, the 2nd largest insurance group in India visited the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) for their gala dinner themed “Night of The Stars”. This Indian organization wholly owned subsidiary of BSDL Insurance Advisory Services Ltd (BSDLIAS) is licensed to act as a Corporate Agent of Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited. BSDL in general offers wealth management, financial planning and investment solutions, mainly through a range of products like mutual funds, insurance, PE funds, alternate investments, select fixed deposits and IPOs and structured products through out India. 570 “Sparkling Stars” of Birla Sun Life Insurance Group India were specially flown to PEACH to experience a memorable “Night of the Stars” boasting exhilarating international entertainment and acts which included performances from Russia, India and Thailand.

TEA – GO GREEN EXHIBITION MEETING

22nd May 2009, PEACH hosted the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) Green Exhibition Education Trip. This organization deals with the association of exhibition related business of exhibition organizers, exhibition centers, exhibition stand contractors, freight forwarders and related suppliers dedicated to the promotion and development of exhibitions in Thailand. The TEA Green Exhibition Education Trip was held to create environmental awareness amongst it’s’ members. Khun Srisakun Footrakul, Business Development Director of the multi award winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH gave a presentation on the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH’s initiatives in the past, present and future in supporting to help conserve the environment, in line with TEA’s Green Exhibition campaign.

OPEN HOUSE NETWORK FAMILIARIZATION TRIP

28th May 2009, PEACH was paid a visit by the Open House Network of the Business Matching by The Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I) The F.T.I. aims at strengthening the private sector institution which will help make industrialization in Thailand more sustainable and synchronizing with other ongoing national economic development processes as well as ensuring a proper protection of the national interest in the world economic environment. A special token was handed to Khun Panga Vathanakul, Managing Director of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH at the end of group visit by Khun Chitta Chaisiriphan, Member of the Board and Advisor of Business Matching Project.

TICA & TCEB PATTAYA FAMILIARIZATION TRIP

29th May 2009, Thailand Incentive & Convention Association (TICA) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) held a training seminar “Flexible Sales & Marketing During Volatile Times” here at PEACH. The training was aimed to aid Thailand venue owners on strategizing their selling efforts during the current economy situation. The event was opened by Khun Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, Director of Government and Corporate Affairs, TCEB and followed by a “Buyers Meet Sellers” session in PEACH Hall A. A colorful Carnival theme dinner was later held at the Siam Ballroom at the luxury Royal Cliff Beach Resort which was attended by Khun Ittipol Khunpluem, the Pattaya City Mayor.

ROYAL CLIFF BEACH RESORT AND PEACH DONATES 830 TREES IN PATTAYA

On the 29th May 2009, Mr. Vathanai Vathanakul, Executive Director, Ms. Vipavee Wuthichat, Resident Manager and Mr. Joachim Grill, the General Manager representatives from the multi award winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH presented 830 tree saplings to three beneficiaries being Pattaya City 7 School, Thammasat University Campus in Pattaya and Mahathai, the Redemption Foundation for People with Disabilities. The donation was in line with the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH’s efforts to work with the local community to promote and implement initiatives which will benefit the environment and also the whole local community as a result.
