Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH) plays host to
The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand

The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand together with the Thai Orthopaedic Association held their 2010 Annual Meeting covering scientific programs and technical exhibitions at the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH), at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently.

The 3-day symposium was attended by almost 1000 delegates and participants from Thailand; who took part in the various lectures, presentations, workshops and exhibition. The technical exhibition was open to medical and surgical manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, scientific book-sellers and product buyers and sellers.

VIPs included the President of the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand, Dr. Saranatra Waikakul, Dr. Sumroeng Neti, Vice President of the Technical Team – The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand, Co. Dr. Thana Turajane, Speaker – Committee of Thai Osteoporosis Foundation and other leading members of The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand.

Their supporting partners Sanofi-Aventis (Thailand) Ltd, Servier (Thailand) Ltd, Astra Xeneca (Thailand) Ltd, Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd, TRB Chemedica (Thailand) Ltd, Johnson & Johnson (Thailand) Ltd and Rottapharm (Thailand) Ltd hosted luncheons during the conference. Workshops were hosted by supporting partners Meditime Co. Ltd and Zimmer Medical (Thailand) Co. Ltd.

A Champagne Celebration was held to mark the successful Signing Agreement of Cooperation between Hungary – Thai and India – Thai during this symposium. The Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s Gold and Silver collections of champagne and wines were selected to enhance the occasion.

Attending alumni delegates from the Ramathibodi Hospital, Phramongkutlao Hospital, Chiengmai Hospital, Rajvithi Hospital, Thammasart Hospital and Chulalongkorn Hospital also attended the respective Alumni Party at the various venues at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort.

Delegates were also treated to leisure activities which included the use of the resort’s Fitness Centre as well as a 3-5 km ‘run & walk’ from the resort to the surrounding greens just off the property. This successful conference meet ended with a spectacular Gala Dinner which had Thailand’s sensational popular singer Namcha performing her favourite hits.

The resort’s ‘Green Certificate’ was presented to The Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand for having taken great steps in helping to safeguard the environment and help reduce global warming by opting to have their Annual Meeting at PEACH.
